Location
This photo I made before the storm on the beach of Kotlin island, where the city of Kronstadt. Kotlin island is located in the Gulf of Finland, and the city of Kronstadt is a district of St. Petersburg, Russia.Time
The photo was taken at about 15 o'clock in the afternoon. It was a bright Sunny summer day, but everything changed in half an hour.Lighting
The lighting was the object of the shooting, as the sun's rays had only made their way through the clouds, and fell on the darkened waves of the Gulf of Finland.Equipment
I had a Nikon Coolpix p7800 with me that day, I don't remember exactly, but maybe I used a polarizing filter that's also always with me.Inspiration
I was inspired by the idea that I can make this beautiful landscape even more beautiful photo after its processing on the computer. And I did. Initially, the photo was less expressive.Editing
Yes, of course I did the post-processing. But I don't see any point in telling you in detail, because you don't see the photo wich I was processing, but you see only the end result. I can only say once again that I processed it because it was necessary to get such a photo, which is the most popular now among all my photos. In my camera bag
It depends where I'm going. I use different photo equipment. I generally take pictures on any device that can take pictures. Therefore, sometimes I use the device that was at hand. If I go to the planned photography, the equipment is selected depending on the type of shooting. Or shooting is not planned, and take the camera just in case, and suddenly come in handy. But usually it is Canon or Nikon.Feedback
I can advise the following. Remember that the photographer is You, but not the camera. Don't be a simple pusher of the shutter button on the camera. Use manual settings, adjust shooting modes, use filters, tripod and other devices that give you different opportunities in shooting. And another tip. Remember that an expensive camera is not the main thing. The main thing is your imagination and understanding of the processes in photography, what to do and how to do. If the great artists of the past centuries instead of writing their paintings, sitting and dreaming of the most expensive paints and canvases, we would have missed many great paintings. So if you want to take pictures-take pictures, take pictures, take pictures. I wish you good luck. Sincerely, Andrew from Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
