Location
I took this photo at a place called the Secret Garden in suburban Perth. It was after a substantial rainfall and the area was very lush and green although the mud patches were difficult to navigate at times.Time
The photo was taken about midday towards the end of May. The sun was shining, but not hot.Lighting
This photo was shot outside using only natural light. The model was positioned in such as way so that the sun was not in her eyes causing her to squint but also so that the shadowing would highlight her skin tone.Equipment
This was shot using a Canon 70d with an 18-35mm lensInspiration
The photo allowed me to combine landscape photography with portrait work. These are the two things that I like best to photograph. I really liked the scenery.Editing
No post-processing was done. I don't like to over-manipulate photographs. I prefer to capture memories as they are rather than create a false one.In my camera bag
In my bag is normally my Canon 70d with the 18-55 lens that I use for almost everything. I also carry a 50mm lens in case I get the chance to do some close-up portrait work and a wide angle lens. I also carry a spherical lens (effectively a glass ball) in case I am feeling particularly artistic.Feedback
I have no advice to give. I have so much more to learn. If I had to share something I would say keep taking photos. Keep photographing the things you love, the things that bring you joy. It doesn't matter how good a photo is...if it brings you joy it is a great photo.
