20191001 – Goldfinch
Brown Deer Park, Brown Deer, WI

When I stopped at the park briefly yesterday, I did not find any of the herons I have grown accustomed to seeing over the summer and the kingfisher I heard once but I never saw it.

As I was heading back to the car, somewhat disappointed, I heard the sound of birds chirping in the tree near the boathouse. As I stood at the top of the stairs, the birds in the tree above me, flew to the flower garden landing on the once beautiful colored Purple Coneflowers.

It is funny I had walked by them for a week, not thinking twice about them having a purpose. It became apparent that the Goldfinch love the seeds the lifeless coneflowers provided.

Maybe I need to measure success in terms of learning something new, getting a few nice photos, instead of the amazing photo of the heron, or any other bird, with a fish.

I hope you enjoy the photos! Additional photos can be found in a Facebook Post (https:--www.facebook.com-Expedition4Life-posts-1064660047067568)
