Location
The photo was taken at home in my kitchen. The fridge was emptied (a regular fridge, when not an instant photo-studio), moved to the middle of the kitchen, all lights off around.Time
It was summer, had to wait while it is fully dark outside, so that there is no light through the windows. The photo was taken around midnight.Lighting
Used only the soft light of the fridge - this was the key of the project. Maybe would have been good to use a flash light for the face - but i feared that it will also light up the background.Equipment

My girl was a fan of the series called "Stranger things" - there are scenes in this series when the girl walks in the dark, only a soft light on the subject - this was the inspiration to create something "out of the dark", and the final interpretation you see on the photo.Editing
Yes, i also do post processing, but usually only basic corrections in Lightroom. Nothing special happened to the original photo, darken shadows in the background, slight skin-softing, contrast, other basic things.In my camera bag
Normally i have a Nikon D750 camera, lenses are Tamron 70-200 f2.8, Nikon 20mm, Nikon 50mm, and a Helios 80H 50/2 (a Helios having Nikon F mount). A basic Manfrotto tripod, a small Godox flash, and a ND1000 filter for long exposure photos.Feedback
Great to have kids who are open fur such fun projects :) Watch movies, series with "open eyes", look behind the story and find inspiration. Don't fear to turn your home into a "photo studio".
