Behind The Lens

Location

Took this photo in Dartmoor national park when we decided with my friends to visit South West England and do a bike trip!

Time

It was in the early afternoon just after lunch time next to a coffee shop where brunch was also served!

Lighting

Funny enough there was nothing particular about the lights, just saw a frame which I was pictured in my head and shared the idea with my friends! It was flat enough to get a decent lighting from every side of the cup without too much shadow!

Equipment

I was shooting with a Nikon D7100 camera and 17-55 mm F/2.8 lens. Also no tripod, just handheld as no space for tripod on the backpack while riding in the forest!

Inspiration

On many occasions I see certain frames or aspects which others may not! Also like to share this idea with others what they think? Wanted to experiment with product photography and eventually print this and hang up on the wall in KY kitchen to look at it every morning!

Editing

Just basic adjustments were involved as it came out pretty much like this!

In my camera bag

Like to have a wide angle when it comes to landscape photography! I mean 24-70 mm AF-S F/2.8 lens is covering almost everything! On occasions I fancy to take my 70-200 mm telezoom for portraits! And nowadays I use the D810 which has such amazing color depth and quality! Some density filters spare batteries!

Feedback

We have to look into photography from a different perspective as most of the times what you capture will come out differently on photos! Framing is super important to be aware of! And try to think in minimal style. Don't over complicate the situation! Keep it simple!
