Location
This is a studio shot. In a very small room with black velet backdrop and on the floor.Time
It was later afternoon, I believe...Lighting
This was part of an experiment I was doing with those tiny LED strings. There was a main light (and Einstein 640 through a strip box) and then several sets of micro LEDS, wrapped around the model's legs, and then at various distances from the camera, including one I was holding in front of the lens.Equipment
This was a while ago, so I'm not sure if it's a Nikon D7100 or D850. I was laying on the floor.Inspiration
The model (Savannah Lee Alexys) had wanted to do some ballet shots, it was something she had gone as a child, and I wanted to experiment with the LEDs, so it seemed like a chance to do both.Editing
I did typical Lightroom raw processing, darkened the backdrop and enhanced the LEDs.In my camera bag
My camera bag now has a D850 but this was done with a D7100, Tamron 24-70 f2.8, Nikon 70-200 f2.8, Nikon 50 F1.8, Nikon 24-120, Tamron 16-300 DX, Nikon SB800, Sekonic L-358, a cyber commander and trigger, two Flashpoint Zoom Manual speedlights. I also have a small 7" HDMI monitor that I attach to my tripod with a clamp and connect to the camera while shooting to review photos as I go, but it's not a true tether, just a monitor. For main lighting, I'm now using a Flashpoint Xplor 600.Feedback
There's not much I can say about this particular shot, other than to experiment with placement of the LEDs and playing with shutter speeds.
