Location
I took this photo in a friends backyard. Birds seem to flock through there and I was lucky to be there capturing this beautiful hummingbird in the rain.Time
This photo was was taken at approximately 11:00 am with my coffee near by, and is one of my favorite photos I have taken.Lighting
The day was off and on with the rain but it wasn't a dark day. I was able to have enough light to capture the rain behind the hummingbird, which was amazing to me.Equipment
I took this picture handheld using my Canon SL2, with my 55mm-250mm zoom lens.Inspiration
I love hummingbirds and it seemed like a great opportunity to capture this one in the rain, on the line, with a house creating a dark background.Editing
I take most of my pictures in Raw format and like to edit them in lightroom to bring out the best features of an image. In my camera bag
In my bag I carry my Canon SL2, 55mm-250mm/F4 zoom lens (UV filter on), 24mm/f2.8 pancake lens(UV filter on), 18mm-55mm kit lens with a 10 stop ND filter screwed on ready to go. I carry 3 batteries, 3 sd cards, a light tripod, a mini tripod, bubblewrap, and a cleaning kit.Feedback
I would say just go for it, breathe calmly, control the shakes in your hands and keep it steady.
