Behind The Lens

Location
I took this photo at a Natural Park two hours by car from Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia. The park is the main birds spot in the world. This horse is one of the horses that were used by recycling families to pull carts plenty of recyclable waste that they found on their way around the city.
Time
I think it was almost 17, it was a cloudy day at that moment but, eventually, the sunset made its appearence, showcasing magnificent rays of light in a valley near the are.
Lighting
I just used my knowledge on the spot, the climate and natural light. I waited until the horse moved to a perfect background: an ancient tree!
Equipment
it was taken with a Nikon D3100, with the GII 18-55mm lenses kit.
Inspiration
The thought that we are more than the belief that we are separated from nature.
Editing
I did a minor postprocessing in Photoshop of contrast, curves and tonalities.
In my camera bag
Nikon D3100 - GII 18-55mm Pentax KX - 50mm
Feedback
Be patient with the animals. Slow down, observe your heartbeat, your body language. Connect with your breathing and with the moment. Then, enjoy!
