Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken from the top of the Brighton Eye, when the sea was at low tide.Time
This was taken at midday, when the sun was at its highest. The picture reflected a highlight to a very enjoyable day.Lighting
The reflection of the sun through the waves causing the beautiful blue shimmer running parallel to the beach.Equipment
I used a Canon 70D with a 18-55mm Canon lens, which I find the most versatile and is my favourite.Inspiration
I took the opportunity of making the most of the reflections from the brilliant sunshine playing off of the waves when the Eye stoped at the top of the tower.Editing
I did minimal change to this image, using Lightroom to carry out slight adjustments to shadow and highlights. In my camera bag
I normally carry only the camera with the 18-55mm and 70-300mm lenses to keep the weight down.Feedback
Try to carry adaptable lenses and be aware of changes of light and the way in which sunlight reacts with different reflective surfaces.
