Location

This photo was taken at one of my favorite local spots here on Oahu.

Time

This photo was taken at 11:55am on Aug 2nd.

Lighting

The sun was just reaching it highest point. The sun was to my left (models right).

Equipment

This was actually an iPhone 11 Pro photo. I shot this in photo mode not portrait. The lighting from the sun and the water reflecting just made it a perfect shot.

Inspiration

My son is the model in this photo. He was born a month early and was in the NICU mins after being born due to having breathing issues. He has grown so much and loves the water! Seeing him this way, in that moment made me take stock in how far he has come and just how beautiful life is.

Editing

All o did was crop it some to have him centered.

In my camera bag

I own a Canon Mark IV and when I don’t have that on hand it’s my iPhone 11Pro.

Feedback

To me nature is the best setting, and sunlight the best lighting! DSLR cameras are amazing, however, the person taking the picture is the one who holds the vision.
