Behind The Lens

Location

In my studio in West Yorkshire, UK

Time

Noon

Lighting

I used studio lights, the main octobox, the background and the hair backlight

Equipment

Canon 6D and Canon 85 mm 1.2

Inspiration

For me this photo is important as an image of vulnerability and at the same time power of a woman.

Editing

I did edit this picture in Photoshop

In my camera bag

I usually only have my camera Canon 6D and the Canon 85mm 1.2 USM lens. I truly believe that the technical equipment is just an instrument and the most important for making a good portrait is to find a soul connection with my models.

Feedback

Every time working with model, I see her (or his) beauty shining through different styles. Face expression, character and even so called age of the soul - all together can bring me to an idea, which sometimes can surprise my model. I don’t believe that everyone can be „fitted“ in every style, but I do believe that people are amazing in their diversity and everyone can look gorgeous
