Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my balcony! Actually it had a really busy background but due to shallow depth of field it is not distracting as well as post-processing in lightroom was very essential in making the photo look this moody

Time

It was monsoon time in India last year when i took this photo! It had just stopped raining in the afternoon aroung 3pm when i went out and it was such a beautiful soft lighting, that's what every photographer needs

Lighting

Simce it was a monsoon time, it had just stopped raining around 3pm and it was overcast so the lighting was very soft and there was no need for any extra lighting setup

Equipment

I used a very entry level DSLR camera, nikon 3400d and the kit lens it comes with that is 18-55mm. It was a handheld shot no kind of strobe or flash was used just pure nature light

Inspiration

I've always been in love with nature, actually that's what got me into photography! More often than not we do not notice such little things which are so beautiful in nature and walk by but it's thlse small details i that look for which others might miss and where I come in and share such beauty with others

Editing

I did post-processing in adobe lightroom its was already moody but i really wanted to give some desathrated and moody look to the photo and also I removed certain distractions in the image and brought the focus to those tiny droplets using graduated filters

In my camera bag

Actually I've just started my journey with photgraphy so right now i don't have much in my camera bag but it includes the camera body with two kit lenses, some cleaning gear, batteries and i think that's it

Feedback

One advice that I'd like to give to others which I often say to myself is that you should look upto other photographers work but rather than letting it demotivate you because of the level they are at rather it should inspire you because of the hardwork they've put into their art and have rose up to a level where they are being recognized because of their work
