Ã‰glise Notre-Dame de Saint-LÃ´. One of the few buildings somewhat left standing from the bombings of the city of Saint-LÃ´, but severely damaged. It was moving to see that even in the restoration of the building, they made sure to keep itâ€™s scars of war, with broken statues and holes from bullets and artillery. To serve as a reminder of the horrors of the war, with the hope that nothing like this will ever have to be repeated. And to think that my grandfather had fought here, witnessing the destruction, was pretty overwhelming.
