Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore.Time
The photo was shot around mid day while the weather was overcast.Lighting
The light coming in from the center of the photo gave the space a unique look that was difficult to pick up with the lens and camera I had available. The original shot is very over exposed to allow for more detail in the shadows of the image.Equipment
This shot was handheld thanks to Olympus' amazing in body stabilization features on the OM-D E-M5 mk2. The lens is a "toy lens"; the Olympus 9mm fisheye.Inspiration
I was inspired by the lighting and mood of the staircase. It seemed enigmatic and I believed I could capture the feeling with the right angle.Editing
There isn't too much post process work done with this image. I has a monochrome filter and basic lightroom adjustments along with some sharpening. I had to shoot at high ISO since the lens has a fixed aperture of f8.In my camera bag
I almost always carry my omd em5 mk2 and I occasionally keep my nikon D780 with me. I love shooting wide for environmental street work but I almost always have a macro lens or raynox diopter in case I want to shoot macro.Feedback
Walk. Slowly. I usually find subjects and interesting angles when I slow down and take in/ enjoy my environment.
