Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken from the Mount Ettalong headland that looks down over Pearl Beach that lies on the north side of the Hawkesbury River, some 50kms north of Sydneys CBD. The tidal currents clearly show the beauty of the sea and the beach and the strength of the rips.

Time

Taken in the early part of the afternoon bearing in mind the strength of the sun in Australia.

Lighting

Sunlight in Australia is right up there in your face! Bright and full on. Images containing shading always presents a challenge. This had none!

Equipment

Shot with Olympus OMD em10ii, f2.4 1/792sec, at 52mm with an iso of 50

Inspiration

A view like this required no inspiration whatsoever.

Editing

Straight out of the box!

In my camera bag

OMD10ii, 14-40mm pancake, spare battery. Bottle of water.

Feedback

Stop. Look and look again. Appreciate what you're looking at, identify distractions and then take the opportunity to capture that moment.
