Purple Passion
I don't have much purple in my house or garden, so I took a small Harmonic Convergence quilt I did back when Ricky introduced his pattern. I took his class at the Lowell Quilt Festival (in Lowell Massachusetts). Here is a link to what the original looks like: www.flickr.com-photos-needlepointernc-3182640165-in-pool-...
I brought the image into PS and used the Twist, Twirl, and Shout tutorial to create several images. I liked this one the best because it reflected the Harmonic Convergence pattern.
I used the radial filter and moved the center down to the lower right. I then used the Pointillize Filter to add some interest. Then I used the Distort>Wave filter and used the Square option to once again mimic the Harmonic Convergence pattern. I added a stroke using a graduated pattern.
If you haven't made any Harmonic Convergence quilts, you should try it out! But beware, it can be addictiive. You can seen a gallery of Harmonic Convergence quits on Flickr: www.flickr.com-groups-993682@N21-pool-
