Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in the High Uintas Wilderness in northern Utah,USA.

Time

It was early morning right before the sun came over the mountains.

Lighting

The lighting was not the best I had to be a light higher on my ISO then I like. The big canyons and mountains add to lighting struggles in this area to.

Equipment

I use a canon 7D with a 100-400mm canon lens and a small tripod.

Inspiration

There is not a large population of moose in Utah so I knew when I seen this bull I had to get some photos.

Editing

I did very light post processing on this photo. I would rather spend the time out in the field.

In my camera bag

I carry as little as possible when in the wilderness. Just a wide angle lens and my 100-400mm lens.

Feedback

Get out and explore new areas. I always find doming you need to get shots up.
