Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Badalona, Spain. I woke up super early that morning just to be able to photograph the sea sunrise with a clear sky. I love sunrises and each of them are unique.

Time

It was summer. I woke up at 6am in order to be there before sunrise and to have time to prepare the shot. The photo was taken at 7.30am.

Lighting

I like this photo because of the perspective. It shows the depth of the bridge, the infinity of the sea and the peace and quiet of a morning.

Equipment

This photo was shot on Nikon D5600 with 18-140mm lens and filter 1000ND and using tripod.

Inspiration

I discovered the place in winter and I took some pictures then. That day was extremely windy and cloudy, so I wondered how would it be to take completely different pictures in a sunny day.

Editing

I'm not a huge fan of post-processing. I prefer things as they are, because by they own, they have their own beauty. So, this one has no post-processing at all. It's showed as it was taken.

In my camera bag

I always carry my 18-140mm Nikon lens and a set of ND filters, but my prefered one is ND1000, because it allows you to shot water during the day with long exposure.

Feedback

A lot of patience is required to get this kind of shot. You have to check the forecast before going in order to see if the weather conditions fit what you want to take your desired picture. Moreover, it's necessary to check the sunrise hour to be at the place before it and to be able to setup everything.
