Behind The Lens
Location
This photo is as taken at my high school while I was in my photo class. It was taken under studio lights to get a low key portrait effectTime
Not sure. It was during the school day but it wouldn’t matter either way cause it was inside in a studio setup.Lighting
Yes the lighting was two studio lights set up in one side of the face to get a lowkey effectEquipment
Canon t6i and a tripod, no flash. Studio lights. I believe for this photo I was using the EF-S 18-55mm IS II canon lens. I also used a black backdrop.Inspiration
We were doing a lowkey project and I wanted a photo that really focused on facial details and the eyeEditing
Not much. I used Lightroom to concert to black and white and increased the contrast slightly. I also moved the tones around in the colors. In my camera bag
I normall being my camera, extra butteries an extra SD card. Sometimes I will bring my other lenses design on what I am shooting and where. I also sometimes have my Lensball in my bad, an Nd filter, and a cleaning cloth.Feedback
I would focus on lighting directly when shooting. I did lowkey portraits under streetlights, under porch lights, even with a cellphone flash. If your doing those things noght time may be the best time.
