This shot was taken on a warm, muggy morning at Rockport Harbor in Massachusetts as the sun was coming up. I love shooting on muggy mornings as the haze adds different tones to the sunrise.Time
This was taken at sunrise. One of my favorite things to do is get to the coast in time to catch the sun coming up over the horizon.Lighting
Shooting the sunrise can prove challenging as your subject maybe in the shadows, but sometimes a silhouette is the perfect shot.Equipment
I use a Canon Rebel 3I. I did use a tripod as I used my zoom lens to get a closer shot of the sailboat.Inspiration
I go to Rock port frequently as it is a classic coastal New England town. While shooting the sunrise I noticed the sun lining up perfectly with the sailboat.Editing
I only enhanced the contrast a bit. I do not do any photo shop editing.In my camera bag

Rockport is a wonderful place to practice photography. Not only is it a classic New England town, it is a working fishing community, so there are many different things to shoot.
