This shot was taken in Costa Rica. I was out walking in the forests when I spotted this sloth very close to the ground. They descend to the ground to go to the toilet. Making them very vulnerable to predation. Why they don’t stay high up and simply do their business is a mystery. I was at eye level with this individual when it turned to look directly into the camera.Time
