Photograph from the canopy of a 1952 bird-dog. This plane was used for recon in Vietnam and still flies like the day it was made. It is incredibly light and has a very powerful engine. This allows it to need very little runway for takeoff and landing. We often land on grass airstrips or infield’s. We have even landed on beaches .
