Thank you, Lilly! Don't laugh, but took it in a dark hallway in my house with natural side lighting shining through my office doorway!

Location
This photo was taken in my home in Michigan.Time
I took the image at around 1pm.Lighting
The lighting was all ambient, from a window and a skylight. I used a white reflector to reflect upward to illuminate my face.Equipment
I shot this self-portrait with my tripod-mounted Canon 80D, with my 50mm f/1.8 lens at f/1.8, ISO400 and a shutter speed of 1/60s.Inspiration
I was in need of a new self-portrait for social media, and was playing around with different poses and lighting.Editing
Yes, I converted the image to black and white with Luminar, and did some fine tuning on details and contrast. In my camera bag
I typically carry my Canon 80D with five lenses (Canon 50mm f/1.8, 10-18mm wide angle zoom, 18-55mm zoom, and 55-250mm zoom, and Tokina 100mm macro prime lens. I also have my Haida M10 pro filter holder with a couple ND filters, and 3-stop GND filter and circular polarizer. Of course, I always have my standard accessories like spare batteries, lens hoods, memory cards, etc., and I carry a Godox V860-II speedlight with MagMod Sphere & MagBeam flash modifiers with color gels and gobos.Feedback
This was one of my first attempts at self-portraits, and I was pretty self-conscious about the whole thing, even though I was alone at the time. I guess my advice would be to just try some different lighting arrangements, even if it's just ambient light like this one was. That, and camera angles and posing...have fun with it!
