Behind The Lens

Location

I was out for a walk in Lynde Shores conservation area outside of Toronto Canada.

Time

Around 9 am, well outside of the magic hour.

Lighting

It was well past the magic hour, and the morning mist was burned away.

Equipment

Nikon D3100 with a Nikon 70-300 lens hand held.

Inspiration

My inspiration for this shot was just how different and difficult spider webs are. And they are incredibly strong.

Editing

I pulled down the exposure to make the background dark and bring up the web .

In my camera bag

I am a Nikon guy, I walk with a D200 ( infrared conversion ). D3100 F5 .

Feedback

Just got to get out there and shoot. I am self taught, trial and error (and I have had my share of both ). Take notes about everything : what you were thinking when you first saw the scene, equipment, gps location and what you expect or hope it will look like. Also take a camera with you always! You can’t get the pictures if you have no camera. I’ve left my house with 2 cameras and no wallet many times.
