Location
Oshawa Ontario Canada harbour .Time
Because I am an early riser, I keep my gear packed and ready to go before sunrise. That way I can be in position ready to shoot when the sun does rise.Lighting
I knew that the pier would be silhouetted against the sun rise which is what I wanted. It was just a matter of timing to get the shot that I wanted.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D3400 with a Nikon 70 - 300 f4.5-5.6 G lens. With a Manfrotto 190X PRO B tripod and a Manfrotto 494RC2 head.Inspiration
My photography goal is to shoot like a National Geographic photographer. And I believe that I am on my way to my goal with this one.Editing
I used Adobe premier elements 12.In my camera bag
I always have a backup plan. Nikon 3100 body, a light meter, 50mm lens and a notebook with pencil to write down notes. And a waterproof bagFeedback
Envision what you want your pictures to look like before you shoot. I plan on location and weather and background clutter and angles.
