Behind The Lens

Location

This pic was taken during a family walk and meal down at Woody Point Redcliffe in Qld. We were over looking the park and water and this image just stood out to me.

Time

This photo was taken around 5.30pm. Walking along the broadwalk with my family. The sunset just had me stopping and shooting.

Lighting

It was a dulling day and sunshine was low. I had used this to my advantage and created a unique feel and look to the sunset using a filter.

Equipment

Canon 70D, 18-55mm Canon portrait lens

Inspiration

The scenery was warm and delightful and capturing that moment around my family was my inspiration.

Editing

Yes. I altered the light color of the sunset obviously to dictate the purple hue of light

In my camera bag

I carry at all times, portrait lens 50mm, tamarind 300mm lens, Canon 70d camera, flash and lens filters.

Feedback

Wait for the light to be low enough and in the right position between your subject. Scout the area of interest and don't be in a rush to get the shot. Take your time and wait for the moment
