This is a shot from the Many Glacier Lake shore line at sunset. This was taken in early September when a large chunk of the park was closed off due to fires. Unfortunately for me the fires cut short the amount of time I would spend here because of that. As much as I wanted to go hike the many trails to different vistas I did not. Because in almost all cases a thick layer of smoke is an unshootable condition. On this particular night the wind was blowing to the west so I could see the hills at least. But what the fires created was this wild split scene of a sunset where it is obvious to where the fires are taking place and where it is not. To the right the smoke and light turned the sky into a fire ball and to the left you can get an idea of what a normal sunset might have looked like. A very cool effect that I hopefully did justice too. Because the sky changed to colors that I haven't often dealt with.
