Location
This shot was taken on the outskirts of Yukon, Oklahoma. During the summertime I always make sure to have my camera close by to capture moments just like this.Time
Storms are unpredictable and pop-up at anytime. This was probably shot around 5:30. The sky was super dark but the evening sun created a glow that made everything look beautifully dramatic.Lighting
I love sharing what I see through my camera. Living in Oklahoma, weather is always a hot topic as it changes constantly. I couldn’t have asked for a better environment as everything seems set up perfect for this shot.Equipment
I took this with a Nikon D-3500Inspiration
I am always inspired by nature. Outdoor photography has always been my passion. My journey started with my grandpa out on old country roads. It’s where I learned leading lines, rule of thirds, and simple composition techniques. Being in moments like these remind me of going out to take pictures for the first time.Editing
My process usually starts with basic composition corrects. First thing I always do is sharpen the image and make sure everything looks in focus. Next composition And color correction, then doge and burn where it’s needed. Everything in a nutshell. My heavy edit process focuses on the natural beauty. In my camera bag
On the go I carry around my Nikon D-3500. It’s compact and light to keep with me. My go to lens is the Tamron 15-33. It lets me get wide angles for landscapes and detail shots. I also enjoy the low aperture ability, it provides more opportunities to get creative with outdoor photography.Feedback
Always carry a camera with you. The perfect moments are usually when you don’t expect them. I believe it also keeps you looking for the perfect shot and keeps you aware of what’s going on around you. Go on a drive and get lost in this beautiful world.
