Location
The picture was taken in Iceland. It was an early morning by a small lake formed by a melting glacier.Time
Very early morning. We had to wake at about 3 o'clock to pack and jump in our jeep to rush to location and came just in time to witness the splendour.Lighting
I wanted the first rays of sun to manifest themselves in the shot. Then i decided that stillness of water does not add to it and threw a small piece of ice in the lake.Equipment
Canon 5dm4. Canon 24-70. tripod, nothing more.Inspiration
What can be more uplifting than a good sunrise. It always looks to me as a promise of something new, fresh, vibrant and live.Editing
There is little processing here really. Just curves and darkening of the blues. A bit of saturation boost to reflect what i saw and felt.In my camera bag
Canon 5dm4. 24-70, 70-200, converter 1.4, polariser. The rest is optional and depends on the shoot being plannedFeedback
Learn to wake up early and enjoy it. Find something that will boost your energy right away. For me the very idea of hot strong coffee with a fistful of dried fruit sounds wonderful and helps wake up easy and at any time. Then, the world is yours to travel about in search for the rising sun )
