This photo was taken after a snowstorm in South Dennis, Massachusetts. I was out and about taking photos of the snowfall and came upon this farm of several horses out “horsing around”. These two beauties, in particular, were very playful and having a grand old time.Time
This was taken late morning, probably 11:00 am.Lighting
With so much reflection from the snow and it being a bright time of the day, I just took advantage of the subject playing out in front of me and try to compensate for the bright conditions.Equipment
I alway shoot Canon and this was no exception. I used the 70D with a Canon 18-200mm lensInspiration
The playfulness of the horses who were totally unfazed by my presence. They were loving the snow and kicking it up and having a grand old time !Editing
Yes, I am not too sophisticated...just the basics of cropping, enhancing the light, maybe playing with the color...I like it to look how I saw it originally. In my camera bag
I usually travel light. This was a handheld shot...but I do usually pack a tripod, a couple of lenses, reflector and always extra batteries.Feedback
Patience is your friend......I have lots of it!! You never know when something wonderful will happen !!
