This photo was taken around the area of Roughlock Falls in South Dakota. There are several small falls around the area and along a trail that begins near Savoy.Time
This photo was taken around the afternoon part of the day. Somewhere between 2:30 and 3:00pm. The wooded terrain and mountainous area made it seem later.Lighting
There is nothing special about lighting. The sun was the source and very bright at this time.Equipment
I used a Nikon D850 with a Tamron 15-30 f/2.8 ultra-wide zoom. The sun was bright enough that I did not need a tripod for exposure.Inspiration
I like the sound of flowing water. I have always like waterfalls as a kid. Anytime I get a chance to snap a photo of one I will take it.Editing
I use Adobe Lightroom to make simple adjustments. An this one I had to take the exposure down and bring out the colors a little.In my camera bag
I normally carry Nikon FX bodies in my bag. I have a D850 and D750. On hikes I will take the D850 with the Tamron 15-30, the Nikon 20mm f/1.8 and the Nikon 70-200 f/2.8E for some reach when needed.Feedback
