Location
This photo was taken in Pilanesberg, South Africa.Time
We drove all day long though the Pilanesberg park. This photo was taken right after lunch.Lighting
Most photographers say no to photograph with mid-day light. However, in the latitude of South Africa, mid-day light in the winter solstice can reveal beautiful colours.Equipment
This photos was taken with a Canon Rebel 600D (t3i) and the kit tele lens 75-300Inspiration
We were photographing a family of lions when these zebras approached the group. Apparently the older ones were more worried about the lions, while the juvenile was curious. The two older stopped walking and went back but the most curious was about to keep going in the direction of the lions. This reminds scenes of the Lion King and was worth photographing.Editing
Contrast and colour toning, as needed in all raw photographies. In my camera bag
I currently have both Canon 80D and RP, Tokina lenses (11-20 and 24-70) and a tele 100-400. Additionally, I always take my Kenko polarizer and gradual ND.Feedback
Pilanesberg safari is a must-go place in South Africa, close to Johannesburg.
