Behind The Lens
Location
This picture was taken at my house in the attic. Originally as a school assignment and ended up as a product shot for a good friend who owns a distillery.Time
Two full evenings, full of experimenting and trying out. Thanks to CANON's EOS utility, I had perfect control during the shoot about how it should look, exposure, sharpness and depth of field, etc... Then it was the post-processing in Lightroom that provided the finishing touch.Lighting
The light setup consisted mainly of 3 hotshoe flashes of Godox, 2 with a color filter and one in a 80cm softbox. The background picture was the image on a monitor which was controlled by an extra laptop.Equipment
Canon 7DmkII, 24-70mm f2.8, Godox V860II, Godox TT600, Canon 430EX, Godox triggers XPro and X1R, Tripod, Godox 80cm SoftboxInspiration
I was very interested in acquiring the necessary knowledge to start with product photography.Editing
There is certainly post-processing done but no more than the white balance, color saturation, cropping, .... The useual stuff. In my camera bag
Actually nothing more than my 7D and my favourite lens, the 24-70 f2.8.Feedback
Tune your exposure to the brightness of the monitor used for the background. Then use the flashes as input light and adjust so that the background is not flashed away. The flashes with the color filters on are only used to accentuate the reflection in the glass of the bottle.
