I was driving to a favorite birding place when I saw this momma cow had given birth to twins. They were on a bank right along the road. I stopped to snap a quick photo, but before I could one of the newborns rolled down the steep bank and into a gully. I couldn't leave it there so I put my flashers on and started walking to find help. A few minutes later two young men in a car pulled in behind me and were able to rescue to newborn calf. I wish I could have gotten the twins, but its safety was more important.
