showed you islands of Bordoy and Eysteroy already so it's time to bring you to Vagar, which is called a paradise for photographers. Recently t&c of getting to some places changed as farmers restricted passage through their lands. They not only charge to pass but also require to have a guide with you which increases costs of travelling to Faroes. I was told that soon there will be many places where you will have to pay for hikes.
Going back to my photo...Dragarnir is the place I wanted to to show you for simple reason- it's absolutely stunning. To get there you neede to hike14 km which is 4 h round trip plus photography. It's a long but not very hard hike, however you will need certain fitnes level to get there. There is also quite steep cliff at the end, which requires pretty much running up down in order to photograph everything you want. Compositions in this place are endless and time limited. Because I was there 4h before sunset I had a lot of time to wander around. I hiked the cliff and started moving down and stopping at the best places to take test shots. That took me about 1 hour. As it was still early and also cold and windy I sat down in the cliff hole, where I could enjoy my meal while watchind thousands of birds flying around the rocks and cliff. Weather was affected by some dust blown from over Sahara and it was very hazy, so I wasn't sure if sunset will be good. I started photographing around 1.5 before set on the top, going same way I did before, to finish at the bottom of the cliff. Ocean looked bit scary but becouse tide was moving out I was able to get to the edge for the final show. The water played fantastic game and light wasn't too bad at the end. I am very happy with the final results.
