I spent whole day in Northern Ireland, visiting forests and parks and looking for some nice Autumn sceneries. My first stop was Dark Hedges in Antrim. I had to leave home at 4:15 am to get there for sunrise, which was a killer but so worth it. I was extremely lucky that there was only 3 people there and they weren't photographers so I wasn't disturbed much. With sunrise happening at 8 am at this time of the year, my biggest concern was that place will be packed with tourists. I was very happy that people enjoyed their longer sleep that day and I had this place only for myslef for most of the time. Sunrise was beautiful, but I had to wait about 30 more minutes before sun light reach the Hedges. I got everything what I was hoping for. The leaves were in all possible colors and loads of them on the trees and around the road also. There was a bit of mist too. I decided to go for vertical shot this time as I wanted to include as much branches and leaves as possible.

Such a stunning magical place. I've only been there mid summer and mid winter. Autumn looks amazing there

I used Nikon D 810, Sigma 100-400 F5.6-6.5 lens , mafrotto tripod and polarizing filterInspiration
I visited this place in different time of the year. In winter and spring it doesnt look very interesting becouse of lack of vegetation. I went there also in mid June which was faboulus experience as entire place was green and trees branches red fro rising sun. I knew then that I have to come back in Autumn to see how this place looks like. I was right.Editing
My postprocesing was mostly basic stuff like contrast sharpness highlight and shadows and also colour saturationIn my camera bag
My usual equipment I bring anywhere with me would be Nikon D 810, Nikkor 16-35 F4, Sigma 24-70 F2.8, Sigma 100-400 F5.6-6.5, Lee polarizing filter, Lee # and 2 stops graduation filter, Lee big and little stopper, shutter release and of course tripod.Feedback
Keep visiting places different time of the year as they look completely different and you can decide which you like most. Experiment with lenses. In this particular shot I used telefoto lens but it could be shot with wide angle too. Effect wouldn't be as impressive as many of the trees were destroyed by recent storms and there are big gaps between them but it was possible few yeras back. Tele photo lens copressed the scen and made gaps invisible.
