Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during a camping trip at a state park in Washington State, somewhere out past Fair Fax. This was one of many beautiful shots i was able to capture.

Time

This hike was about 2.7 miles in and 2.7 miles out. Just over 5 miles, I believe I started around 1pm and just kind of stopped along the way to get lost in the nature that surrounded me and trumped through woods to get these shots.

Lighting

It was just the perfect moment I was able to capture this beautiful shot.

Equipment

Suprisingly I used my phone camera, at the time it was an LG stylo 4.

Inspiration

Nature inspired me. Nature and animals is most often what inspires me to take my photos. There is just something so serene and calming about being in nature, I feel at peace and want to share that beauty with the world.

Editing

No, the only thing I did to this photo was add a filter that helped with the lighting in certain areas so nothing looked washed out.

In my camera bag

I do not have any camera equipment. Ive only ever used my phone. I would absolutely LOVE to have some good equipment so that I can go take these kinds of shots more often. Its hard to see something with your eyes, know you can capture it in a still photo well, but kot have the proper equipment to make it look like how you know it could.

Feedback

Honestly, just go for it. A lot of times I take 5-10 og the same shot before deciding which one is best. Play around with lighting and filters and angles and dont be afraid to lay on the ground and get a little dirty to get thise great shots! And im living proof that you dont have to have a super fancy expensive camera in order to take good photos!
