During a media event to showcase NASA's new mobile launcher that will be used for the SLS rocket, I captured a view from level 16 inside of the massive Vehicle Assembly Building with on of the umbilical connectors on the new mobile launcher and a panoramic view of the historic Launch Pad 39A where men first left Earth for the Moon and the Space Shuttle soared into orbit. The tower at Pad 39A is being modified by SpaceX to support manned flights in the future.
