Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at New Mexico State University of Las Cruces, NM.

Time

The time? Well, it was early in the day. I think it was before lunch, not too much sure.

Lighting

It was day time, maybe mid day, so lighting was a bit harsh but we went walking around the campus finding shaded spots.

Equipment

I used a Sony A7ii as the main camera. The lense that was attached was the Sony 70200f4 G series lens.

Inspiration

Just fun, we were having a lot of fun walking around and taking photos. She threw out the idea to pose on the rock and I kept walking around snapping photos from different angles.

Editing

I do minor adjustments in post. Normally I have the settings how I like it in camera. Changing the photo style in the camera itself, such as contrast, sharpness.

In my camera bag

The equipment that I have in my bag includes my Sony A7ii camera Sony 70200f4 lens attached. I also have a Sony a6100 and Sony RX1 in my bag. I also have things like the Electronic View Finder for the RX1, a Microphone from Neewer for videos, and a wired release button. I've always been a fan of Sony Cameras since the NEX 5n, and probably will always be one. Just slowly upgrading the walk around kit that I carry daily.

Feedback

Just go out there and have fun with the model you're working with. I built an onsite friendship with the model, and we were very comfortable with each other. Building the comfort builds the better photos.
