Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was captured at Rameshwaram, right from the famous Pamban Bridge in the South most part of India. I was travelling back from Dhanuskodi (The South tip point of India) with my friends and we stopped by this bridge to get some good scenes. Right below the bridge I noted this boat floating alone tied up to a small coast.

Time

It was shot at around 04:45 pm when the sunset was likely to begin.

Lighting

The light was a bit harsh since the time I shot this photo was right before the Sunset began. Thankfully it wasn't a mid noon..!

Equipment

The gears I used for capturing this image was Canon EOS 700D with my kit lens 55-250mm alone.

Inspiration

Generally a scene where a single boat floating along the coast will always inspires us with its scene. Just like that I thought of capturing this scene where it was relative. To my surprise the color of water and with water alone at background gave me more attraction towards it.

Editing

There's not much of post-processing to this image. I had just adjusted so that the overexposed shot could become a standard one and increased a little bit of structure to show the details of the boat along with the water bed. A few amount of vibrance was given so that the intensity of colors popped more.

In my camera bag

I usually carry my Canon EOS 700D along with kit lens and mobile phones are always handy..!

Feedback

I would suggest to look for a different perspective and a pre-visualization would always help you out to get a perfect image. And, Expect the Unexpected..!!
