In the language of Dutch Windmill messages, the vanes being parked in the 'X' position indicates a long break. Maybe the miller went home to sleep...

I am not sure, but I think this is a so called "spinnekop" windmill, because of its shape at the top.

I thought that 'spinnekop molen' were more like 'Wip molen' or 'Standaard molen'. But none of the Leiden windmills were 'spinnekop molen' so they were outside my area of study.
