I like the story you are portraying Bruz and yes the black and white certainly adds to it.

Behind The Lens
Location
Took this in a western museum in the town of Silver Reef, Utah.Time
It was later in the afternoon around 5:30.Lighting
The lighting was coming from the windows and no other light was used.Equipment
My camera for this was a Nikon D810 with a Sigma 24-105 f4 lens. I also used a Manfrotto tripod. No flash was used as we used the light coming from the window and a longer exposure.Inspiration
The museum has a photo taken in the late 1800's and we were trying to reproduce a similar image. I am the photographer for a western reenactment group that does a staged bank robbery with a shootout with the sheriffs. The museum is putting another shot I took of this group that more closely resembles the old photo that is hanging in the museum. This was one of many I took and they are using this photo for advertisement and it is hanging in a restaurant that supports this group.Editing
I actually did a lot of post-processing on this shot in Lightroom, Photoshop, Topaz Labs and Silver Effects Pro. Wanted the HDR look to it with as much detail as I could get. I always start in Lightroom and do my basic edits. I then edited out some more in Photoshop and finally in Topaz Labs and Silver Effects Pro to put on the final touches. In my camera bag
I have a harness for two cameras, my Nikon D800 and D810. I usually have a waist belt that carries three of my lenses and my cleaning gear and spare batteries. It will also carry my tripod if needed. That helps me take the weight off my back. The lenses I can carry (don't always carry all of them) are on my camera my Sigma 24-105 and either my Tamron 150-600 or my Nikkor 105 macro. I also can carry a Tamron 15-30 wide angle, and a 50 f/1.8 Nikkor and the other lens that isn't on my camera. It just depends on what I am shooting on what I bring.Feedback
This was not what I normally shoot. I am more of a landscape photographer but recently became the photographer for this western reenactment group. But I became the photographer because I bring my camera with me everywhere I go. If someone wanted to capture something like this you would first have to line up the people to stage the photograph. Then lots of patience and lots of shots to capture just what you want. Maybe some editing skills in Lightroom and Photoshop with some add ons like Topaz Labs and Silver Effects Pro.
