New Orleans, just had its 300th birthday and many of the traditions go that far back in history. The Mardi Gras Indians find close affiliation with 1st Nation as the cultures and family lines mixed through the years. This annual event, meandering the neighborhoods, dancing, making music, and having the crowd of onlookers join in the parade if they so choose. I loved the energy in this busy shot.
