this image is a wonderful example of the blend of historic and modern architecture in Chicago, IL. It is an amazing place, full of history in many neighborhoods, that you could spend a long weekend enjoying. Every year, in October, the Chicago Architecture Foundation hosts a fabulous and often free neighborhood wide open house of many historic buildings. It is a great time to visit.
