This was one of the best ways to start our trip off, but this shot would not have happened without a few things:
1. My fellow photographer Billy and I committing to get sunrise photos whenever possible.
2. Our amazing guide Andy knowing where the sunrise was going to be on our first day.
3. Andy knowing a different route to this location when we came across a roadblock that didn’t open till 7am, well past sunrise.
Its views like this that make me so grateful for the little things that add up to spectacular things. I think what I love most about this shot is that I can see other shots in it that I took. To the left is a shot I took on my iPhone that I love. I took a few shots of the lingering fog in the valley. And man am I grateful for waiting till the sun came over the mountains!
