Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Petrel Cove Beach, in Encounter Bay. South Australia. This place where mostly photographers like to shoot.

Time

This was taken late afternoon. during the summer.. in Dec in 2017

Lighting

I was watching Adam William on youtube. I decided to create a romantic or moody type feel. The sunset normally goes down on the right side, I decided to create light on the left side to give a sunrise like feel. it looks right, as more moody clouds on the right, as it was such a moody summer day.

Equipment

I was using my Canon 6d, F16, 2.5 sec, iso 160 at 35mm lens 16-35mm. with sirus tripod

Inspiration

I love taking seascape photo, I love the water, the sound and fresh air of the sea. Great way to clear my head on a stressful day.

Editing

I have edited in lightroom, then took it to photoshop to darken the area and lighten the light to beam on the rock and water.

In my camera bag

I always take my canon 6d with my 16-35mm lens all the time. with Kase Filters set. and sirus tripod. I have a lens cover for my camera to stop the sea spray damage my camera and lens

Feedback

I love to shoot the slow effect of the water and always shoot at low iso and grad filters to darken the sky, depending on the light. cloudy days make a great moody feel.. I normally shoot out for lovely colourful sunrise or sunset of pink or orange sky. I don't always shoot seascape.. I also shoot astro as well
