Behind The Lens

Location

We shot this photo in Cedar Creek in Samford Valley Brisbane , Australia. It was an early morning shoot using natural light and some on camera flash.

Time

Early morning

Lighting

We used as much natural light as possible as I think artificial light just can't match natural. We did however use some flash in the earlier shots of this series due to it being too dark.

Equipment

Nikon d750 with an 85mm prime lens and no tripod.

Inspiration

I love nature and my model seemed to fit into the location perfectly.

Editing

Not really just a little cropping and a light tweak as the shadows were a little dark so I just increased the exposure a little.

In my camera bag

50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.4 and Nikon d750. Hansel modus 600 flash.

Feedback

Use your imagination and try and recreate what you see in your head. Always shoot in the golden hour if possible. Choose a model who you can have some great banter with. Crystal was an amazing model to work with. Accept critical feedback when given. And always remember being a good photographer cant be taught it comes from your heart, soul and experimentation. Follow your dreams andd get out there and start taking photos.
