Quite a creative and intriguing image. This begs a lot of questions. Is this a Cinderella story? Did the couple dance the night away? This picture is just that well done.

This was taken for a school assignment on low key. I took this in my basement. The shoes and rose were placed on the coffee table.Time
This photo was taken at 1:10pm.Lighting
The lights were off and a little natural light was let in through the windows. I relied on the ISO settings to help me.Equipment
I used my Canon rebel XS on a tripod, with the 18 - 55mm kit lens. My settings were 10.0 at f5.6 ISO 200 and the focal length was 49mmInspiration
As I said it was for an assignment on low key. I thought low key, - dark - romantic. So, I grabbed a pair of shoes, a rose and set the stage.Editing
I did a little work in Lightroom, spot removal and a little darkening.In my camera bag
