I took the photo inside my own home in Canada.Time
It was around midnight I think.Lighting
I have some good lighting in the room. I wanted to create some shadows around the face, covering a lot of hair so the model had to be moved around until you create the image you want.Equipment
It was shot with a Canon 200D rebelkiss with the original lens which came with the camera.Inspiration
I like taking photos of people and myself included and watch other photographers for inspiration, a sort of idea I could use and make an alternative look and feel. I had a black silk scarf lying around and tried some poses, this worked out well. Then I spent a large portion of the day getting ready. I like to be as original as I can be, with shadows, make-up etc to make something which is my own creation. Its hard to get inspired and make something unique sometimes. But when you do its a great feeling.Editing

Plan your day or night in advance, what do you want to capture. Different photos need other preparations. I usually spend a few hours in advance to prepare. What to use, lighting, poses. I have a plan in my head and when I think I'm ready I'll go for it.
