this photo was taken in Davao city Located in southern Philippines,I'm not professional Photographer, guess i call myself advanced amateur Photographer so every time pick-up the camera its like new lesson or advantage into art of Photography, The day this photo was taken myself and few fellow photographer friends where doing fun shoot and at same time helping friend promote her business in wedding gowns along with giving young student models the experience in front of camera, as we all have to start somewhere in art of photography as we never stop learning new styles etcTime
this was taken late afternoon on balcony we planned this promotion shoot for wedding gowns to be as one would expect if was a real wedding photo shoot as model was changing into lot different wedding gowns during course of shoot.Lighting
lighting i was using natural lighting in late afternoon with sun starting to set behind model, also was using flash as well during course of shoot ... but not with this photo as lighting was idea for mood and the locationEquipment
camera was Canon 5D mk lll and lens, along with Canon prime f/2.8 lens,24-70mm if my memory is corrector it was my 50mm f/2.8 .Inspiration
This hole shoot was both promotional shoot for wedding gown and to give young student and beginners in field of fashion and portrait the experience to pose in front of camera and to be able to add photo to their portfolio, as one also is learning in art of teaching model how you or they wish to pose etcEditing
i try to do as little as possible in field of post editing other than crop this photo, as i believe one has to be careful as in my view you have thin line between what is photography and what is graphic art... could say more on that subject, so other than to say too many photographer forget what is photography and what then become graphic art by using to much available software.In my camera bag
well i guess one could say, i just about carry the kitchen sink, when going on photography trip whether it be at home or abroad, as for me there nothing worse than to be out and come across unexpected subject, as i have very broad area of photography i love,,, so presently i carry two 1D mk iv along with two 5D mk lll, reason i always carry at least two camera is enjoy both festival and action sport so one doesn't always have time to change Lens... as for lens i carry two Canon 24-70 mm f/2.8 prime lens as one is a back-up if needed plus i sometime shoot in both colour and B/W at same time as dislike changing setting from one to other... i also carry Wide angle f/2.8, along with 50mm fix focus f/2.8 then i have Canon Prime 70-200 MM along with Sigma 150-600 MM Sport Lens.. carry 3 flash unit with control, set of filters from ND that include range of colours filter, and last of all set Led lights..... it does not mean i will carry all of it if out in local area, but abroad yes all of that equipment goes with me..i believe its pointless leaving camera equipment behind then to find out one perhaps need the large telephoto lens etc as l never know what subject i might run across of interest, as lot of time i never really plan what looking to shoot...might sound crazy but thats me as my love of photography cover broad area,Feedback
What Advice could one give to another photographer, specially as i only class myself as perhaps a advanced amateur photographer other than to say photography is perhaps is greatest art form of the modern day with Digital camera that allows one to look though viewfinder and capture moment in time that never be repeated, and for it to be widow into another person world that they may have never seen... so i really just say get out and enjoy the art of photography as you see it, and not as other might.
